Individual pieces

Every piece I make is unique; the materials, their interactions, and the process of firing. My portfolio shows a range of pottery, sculpture, and material tests, focusing on surface, colour, and texture.

I use a variety of clays from terracotta to stoneware and porcelain, often incorporating additives such as iron spangles or stains. The use of surface oxides and glazes made from raw materials, promote unique effects during the firing process. 

No two are ever truly alike and I find myself drawn most to these small yet unpredictable differences.
